The new government of Donald Trump, the crisis of the bipartisan regime and the possibility of a direct war with China

Trump won the US elections with a significant difference, if one takes into account the polls, which, for the most part, spoke of a “technical tie.” The pollsters did not take into account that large sectors of the population expressed their anger against the Biden government - of which Kamala continues to be its vice president - because they blame the Democrats for the fall in the standard of living of the whole!

In that sense, Donald Trump's populist speech - "make America great again" - was directed mainly at the working class and the most impoverished sectors of the people due to the Democratic adjustment, to whom he promised to "protect" the industry, the jobs of work and salaries, threatened by the advance of international competition, mainly that coming from China.

The Yankee mass movement did not opt for a more “right-wing” variant than that expressed by the Democrats, whose policies have nothing to envy of those imposed by Trump in his first term, in terms of their reactionary nature. Those at the bottom, who turned mostly in favor of the former president, did so because they believe - wrongly - that with the Republicans in power they will be in better conditions to preserve their labor and social achievements.

Trump, who will not be able to guarantee these expectations, will have to govern the country within the framework of a regime - American two-party democracy - that is increasingly in crisis. And, furthermore, in the framework of an economic situation that will force him - if he wants to maintain Yankee hegemony - to move towards a more than commercial war with China, a classic war, because, today, it is the only possibility he has. United States to stop its voracious advance on all markets.

Trump's policy towards Putin, with whom he has been friendly, does not eliminate the contradictions that will continue to exist with the imperialist Russia of the former KGB agent. The objective of the now re-elected president of the United States is none other than to concentrate on the underlying fight against imperialism that coordinates all his actions from Beijing.

Donald Trump will regain control of the Oval Office in a critical local context, which will give rise to major social conflicts. The combination of this reality, the conflict with China and the beginning of a new workers' rise worldwide will shake Yankee structures. This, beyond the particular characteristics of the new government, is good news for the semi-colonies, which will face one of their main enemies in unbeatable conditions.
